This weekend my mom taught me to jam! Or rather, how to can our very own jam. And admittedly, it was way easier than I expected it to be! All these years I've been intrigued with the idea of canning, but assumed it entailed a lot more time and effort than it actually did. The basics: mash, mix, boil, pour and seal. Imagine that!
We ended up with a batch of raspberry jam and batch of blueberry spice jam (which smells of holiday bliss), but now that I feel more confident in the whole process, I have a whole slew of varieties to try! Watch out - I just might become a canning fool!
