{Truth Is}

The truth is, I am a terrible blogger. As of recently, anyway. Reality is, between one very active soon-to-be-toddler, our vacation to Florida, Claire's social calender, planning her first birthday party, Chris' newish job and my new job, blogging just hasn't gotten the attention I would love it to get.
You could say I've realized that I can't actually do it all. At least not without going insane. Shocking, right?

Anyway, this is my way of apologizing to this little ole' blog and getting back on track. I am ready to get back to regular posting for two reasons: the first being that I love having so many special memories to look back on and reminiscing over! And the second is that it was such a regular part of my routine for so long and I could really use some more of that in my life. I'll tell ya, being a WAHM can really throw you for a loop when it comes to structure. So let's pick up where we left off, shall we? Starting with our insanely wonderfully vacation we took to Florida in early October! Pop on by tomorrow for the details and pics!

Here's a little teaser, until we talk again~

 Happy Monday, friends!

Soon and Very Soon!

I realize I have only posted twice this past month. Yikes! Not to worry friends, I've been cooking up some ideas for upcoming posts! And I promise, my blog won't turn solely into pictures of Claire:) I expect to get back to regular posts at the beginning of the year, as well as some irregular updates here and there the next few weeks (including our birth story)! Thanks for hanging in there with me while I get adjusted to being a Mama! Hope you're enjoying the Christmas season! Be back soon!

Major Fail

So it's May. And I didn't post a single blog last week {hanging head in shame}. I think it's safe to say the month of April was a slight blogging fail. I won't even bore you with the details of how much Chris and I worked last week, or how I had an awful stomach flu or how I just had no energy to type. Because they sound so lame.

But I'm here to make up for it by way of this virtual bouquet of roses I picked from my garden, especially for you! That certainly gets me back in your blogging good graces, right? You know you want to sniff your monitor, and I don't blame you, they smell something heavenly!

Perfect, so let's move on and hope that the month of May has more regular and exciting posts ahead! I promise it will! Wishing you a wonderful Monday!

Much Ado About Nothing

I've been tagged my our sweet friend Rheanna. Feel free to read on for some tidbits about me and definitely check out Rheanna's adorable blog Cammo Style Love!

1. Where do you picture yourself in 5 years?
Wherever I am I hope to be a little bit wiser, kinder and more patient...with a couple of little Hansen's:)

2. What would you do if you won the lottery?
Hmm, how much are we talking? First things would definitely be paying off our student loan debt, buying reliable cars, stashing away a good chunk for the future (kids college, etc.) and taking off to Hawaii for a few weeks. Do you think I could purchase an unlimited Starbucks card for all of the coffee lovers in my life? That would be wonderful! From there, the possibilities to help others are endless:)

3. What is your favorite season?
Spring, no Fall, no wait Spring, or Fall...let's call it a tie!

4. What is your favorite sport, if any?
I love playing volleyball and deeply enjoy live baseball games, but my real love is good old fashioned weight lifting and some running, oh the endorphines!

5. Do you have any pets?
Indeed, two precious pups who make me smile everyday. They're our canine kids. Yes, we're "those" people!

6. Where is one place you hope to go in your lifetime?
I'm thankful to have crossed a lot European destinations off my list by traveling in college, but I have yet to visit Boston or Maine. Some day I would love to take an East coast trip.

7. Can you describe your dream home?
Something Chris and I can take from a drab to fab and preferably an old Craftsman style house! We love the idea of totally remodeling a home! But it would definitely be on a lot of property and have a ginormous garden and a wrap-around porch {swoon}.

8. Do you have any blogging secrets or tips to share?
In a nutshell: post consistently and early in the day, keep it real and when possible, write blogs ahead of time and autopost (a brilliant little blogging secret I've learned!).

And that's me...in 8 questions or less:)

A Little Update

First of all, it feels extremely weird to be blogging on a Saturday night, but I just wanted to share an update about our little blog for you lovely readers and friends. This morning, among making my coffee and bringing me breakfast in bed since I decided to do the very unusual and sleep in, my sweet husband helped me create a separate tab to categorize all of my recipes! Exciting, right?! So now, navigation through all of our kitchen experiments is right at your fingertips! We even took time to highlight "Hansen favorites" :) I'm still tweaking things on the page to get it just right, but feel free to check out the "Recipe" tab underneath our header and do some experimenting of your own!

Happy Saturday!

Nablopomo

You may have noticed a lot of posts from me this month. Thirty-four to be exact. Phew! Why all the blogging? Nablopomo; It's a blogging community where you can take a challenge to post every day of the month and I did it! Yes I know, a small accomplishment of sorts, but it was quite fun! Although remembering to blog on the weekends proved to be a bit of a challenge since I don't spend much time on the computer during the weekend. Hope you all enjoyed! Stay tuned, even though my weekend posts will be less frequent, I'll still be here most days sharing about life, inspirations, great finds and tasty kitchen experiments! Thanks for continuing to visit!

Wishing you a happy, healthy and wonderfully relaxing Sunday!

One Whole Year

If you were to check out the archives, you would see that one year ago today I entered into this blogging world as a naive little blogger with absolutely no idea what I was doing. So, this post is a dedication to YOU! After all, without your encouragement, I would have given up a long time ago! Thanks to our friends, family and those we only know through the web, for staying tuned into our lives by means of our humble little webspace! We love and appreciate all of you. This blog has been a great way for us to stay connected even though many you live so far away! And let's be honest, the recipes are good too, right? ;)

And I just want you to know, even though my darling husband seldom contributes to these posts, he definitely reads them and all of your comments. What can I say, he's busy with his other sports blogs:)

I truly hope you had a fabulous long weekend! Ours was wonderful and relaxing. Of course a pedicure, some garage sales and a delicious meal with family and friends were thrown in there, but I think the best part was that my friend Lael and her sister Elise got here yesterday afternoon. Our evening was accompanied by gluten free homemade pizza and lots of catching up, but sadly they are leaving this morning and continuing their road trip that gets them closer and closer to New Zealand!! It was a short visit, but a great one!

I am a bit green with envy this morning because Chris took the day off to get some things done (one being the DMV, eww!). I wish I could have taken off too, but at least I can look forward to October 16, when we will be on our way to Indiana for a mini-vacation!!

Wishing you a happy and productive Tuesday!
